Last year the festival was organized by PH-Music alone. After the intention to cooperate again with „plattform.jugend.region“ Stainz, the chairman of this association handed in his resignation and subsequently the collaboration with PH-Music was cancelled.
Therefore the festival had to be postponed to the next weekend.
Woodstone 2007 became a very successful festival: 700 guests have been there. More than a surprise considering the poor promotion…
For the first time foreign bands were rocking the hungry crowd, for example Eno (CH),
Adrian Emanuel Egli (CH), …

Fact is that this event is growing and getting more professional year by year!

:: About ::
The idea of an annual festival highlight in Stainz was born in 2006.
The best possible location was found soon with the Sägeplatz and so the Woodstone festival started off in autumn 2006.
But the organizers didn’t have fortune on their side.
After two days of preparation, rain was pouring from the skies for the whole festival weekend.
Though the weather was really bad, there was developing some kind of Woodstock-feeling amongst the fans. Many visitors came up with emergency shelters or pavilions, just to escape the lousy weather and nevertheless to enjoy the music.
The real surprise was the number of 320 paying guests…!
